Decatel’s partners present at Innotrans 2024
Pressure for sustainability and emission reduction is also increasing in the maritime industry. A globally recognized trade and networking event dedicated exclusively to the electrification and hybridization of ships and the associated infrastructure for ports, charging stations, and energy supply was held in Amsterdam from June 20 – 22, 2023.
Schaltbau GmbH was present there for the first time to connect with this emerging sector: it is expected that in the coming years, more and more electric ships will be commissioned, and that electric shipping will make a significant contribution to the sustainable development of the maritime sector.
The DC contactors showcased by Schaltbau at booth no. 5042 will play a key role in this development:
- DC contactors for battery packs in electric ships reliably disconnect the battery’s load circuit from the rest of the system and from the charging station.
- HV DC contactors with the highest safety standards are used in charging infrastructure. In charging stations, they ensure fast and safe charging of electrically powered ships.
The DC contactors on display are DNV-certified and therefore ideally suited for maritime applications.
